This training will concentrate on predominant species that come into care eg. Sea Birds, Water Birds, Black Swans & Pelicans.
Suitable for any member holding a category 8 Rescue authority can rescue and care for these birds, providing one has an appropriate holding facility and training. The reasons we see these birds coming into care can include weather conditions, ingesting foreign matter, fishing tackle, collisions and botulism.
This training is for members to monitor, assess and assist any shore birds in need along the area.
This course is limited to 25 participants.

What to bring/wear:
Appropriate clothing, closed non slip footwear, hat, towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, drinking water etc. (This is an outside venue), A folding chair.
Bring morning tea and lunch.
